Dave Davis, PMP, PgMP, & PBA, is one of our featured speakers for 2018! Join us for dinner and 1 PDU.
Dave's Topic: "Santa Claus and the impact of Values, Virtues, and Vices" As a person who portrays Santa Claus every Christmas season, Dave finds it important to ‘live the role’. Santa is expected to determine who is naughty or nice. This determination is made by comparing actual behavior against various values, virtues, and vices and a decision is made. This session discusses these behaviors and how they mesh with project management leadership, as well as the requirement of activity listening to wishes of young and old in various situations. A creative approach to a serious subject. Dave will focus on how values, virtues, and vices affect us on a personal and professional level on a daily basis. What are your personal values and your organizational values? What do you consider a virtue and a vice? In this presentation, Dave will explore these questions and provide examples of each within a professional context. Dave will share the ‘family values’ of an organization he was a part of and how team behavior was affected by leaders living the values. There will also be a discussion regarding virtues of being a leader / team mate and exercising soft skills within an organization. Finally, Dave will examine the vices that project managers may fall into due to the pressures of doing the job.
Dave's Bio: Dave Davis is a practitioner of project and program management and a recognized professional in the field of helping businesses implement change. Then incorporate these skills into an effective presentation by considering your proposed audience, what information you want to convey, engagement tactics to use with your PowerPoint presentation, the main points of your presentation and the use of PowerPoint pictures, videos and drawings.
