Tell us about a professional success story that you are proud of?
One thing I’m really proud of is growing BellMoore Construction while staying true to the kind of relationships and service we want to be known for. Construction can be unpredictable, and no two projects are ever the same, so there have definitely been challenges along the way. I’m proud of the trust we’ve built with clients and our team by staying solution-focused, communicating openly, and always finding a way to get things done. Seeing a difficult project come together in the end is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
What do you think the most important skill a successful project manager needs to have?
I would say communication. A good project manager has to know how to bring people together, keep everyone informed, and work through problems without letting things spiral. Especially in construction, things can change quickly, so being able to communicate clearly and adjust when needed makes all the difference. People want to know they can trust you to keep things moving.
Something that might surprise people is that I actually enjoy solving problems. I like figuring out how to make things work when there isn’t an easy answer—which is probably why project management ended up being such a good fit for me. Outside of work, I really enjoy spending time with family and trying to slow down enough to appreciate all the little moments.

The success of the chapter and our ability to provide high-quality activities is only
achievable with the help of our members as volunteers. By volunteering you will help build a bigger and better chapter through specialized projects (Symposium, etc.), day-to-day operations (finance management, building organizational structure, etc.), and community outreach. As a volunteer servant leader, you will have the opportunity to expand your professional internal network, enhance your leadership skills, earn PDUs, and much more.
