Job Description |
Overview: The PMI Palmetto Chapter Communication Team is responsible for supporting the Chapter’s vision and strategic goals through a variety of communication channels, including Chapter Website, Photography, Newsletter, Weekly Bulletin, and Social Media outlets.
Roles and Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for managing, building and supporting the Social Media Directors of the PMI Palmetto Chapter’s online accounts. We will train the volunteer on the tools used by the chapter. PMI Palmetto Chapter has social media accounts currently on; Twitter, Facebook page, LinkedIn chapter group, and Instagram with potential to grow to other outlets when the Chapter expands its reach. The Social Media Coordinator will oversee the activities on the assigned channel. Responsibilities include items like keeping the account(s) up-to-date with the Chapter’s news and events and/or moderation of member activity. This position will work with the other members of the Communication team to coordinate and support online promotions and social media campaigns that increase awareness about the Chapter within the local communities. The Social Media Coordinator will ensure that the content and the voice of the Chapter’s accounts are consistent with both PMI and the PMI Palmetto Chapter’s brands and represent the chapter in its best interest. Social Media Managers Report to the VP Communication. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES includes, but are not limited to the following: · Acts as the voice of the chapter on assigned social media channel(s) · Monitors user / follower communications, and respond in a helpful, positive manner consistent with the PMI brand · Drives for member / volunteer / board participation on the channel(s) and is able to identify and engage advocates · Establishes escalation procedures to VP of Communicaitons and Chapter Board for key issues · Regularly promotes Chapter-aligned content from local calendar · Works alongside chapter colleagues to assure consistent messages across all chapter outreach channels. available to those who choose this tool for interacting with the Chapter · Participates on cross-program chapter initiatives representing the social media team. · Establishes benchmarks for metrics and gauging engagement success · Serves as a thought leader on tools and best practices for social media / communications management · Other duties as assigned.
