Jeani is the Director of the IT PMO for 3D Systems in Rock Hill SC, managing the portfolio, vendor engagements, procurement, and governance/change control for IT. She earned her PMP certification in 2013 and her PgMP in 2020. Jeani has been very active with the chapter since 2014, serving as the VP Membership, a Trustee and on numerous Annual Symposium committees. Born and raised in Ohio, Jeani relocated to Liberty, SC in May 2014 when she joined the Hubbell organization. She and her family enjoy exploring/hiking the many nature trails and lakes nearby. Other hobbies include long distance running and training her Spinone Italiano sporting dogs for AKC competition.
LaKeisha Cannon is currently serving as the Vice President for the PMI Palmetto Chapter. She is a native of South Carolina and relocated back to the Upstate after an Honorable discharge from the US Air Force. She achieved her MBA from Strayer University in 2010 and earned her PMP certification in 2020 while working at Michelin. She has been an active member of the chapter since then. She is currently an IT Project Manager at Wesco. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to audio-books and keeping busy with her husband and twins.

Jennifer Hearing works as an consultant in Change Management at Cushman & Wakefield, a commercial real estate firm. She earned her PMP certification and joined the Palmetto chapter in 2021. She also has a B.S. in Publishing and M.S. in Counseling. Jennifer's experience spans the insurance, real estate, publishing and technology industries. She is a native of Montana and has lived in the Upstate since 2013 where she enjoys traveling, attending and volunteering at her local church, writing, and gardening.

Detra German is working as an Information Technology Project Manager at a mortgage servicing company headquartered in Greenville, SC. She has earned her PMP, CSM and CSPO certifications. She also has a B.S. Computer Science, MBA, and Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) degree. Detra's decade of experience spans the military, healthcare and financial software industries while working in various roles. She is a native of South Carolina and currently lives in the Upstate where she enjoys attending and volunteering at her local church, writing, singing, and taking road trips. She’s been an active member of the Palmetto Chapter since 2020.

Adrian Bogle works as an IT project manager for a commercial baker called Aspire Bakeries, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, with office and bakeries located US and Canada, including Cayce, SC. Adrian has worked with the company since 2011 in various roles, such as network admin and IT manager. He is currently a certified PMP and CSM. In his spare time, Adrian loves to sing and play his guitar at his church and bible studies, and spending time at Lake Hartwell with his wife Patricia in West Anderson, SC.

Shavada Lee is currently serving as the VP of Programs for the PMI Palmetto Chapter. Shavada earned her PMP in 2015, has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from George Washington University, and will obtain her MBA from Clemson University in 2023. Shavada has been a member of the chapter since 2014 and has served on the Symposium committee since 2021. Shavada has been a project manager for 20 years, and is currently the principal of Innovate 360, LLC, a management consulting firm. Prior to consulting, Shavada held leadership positions as the Head of PMO for AFL and Michelin North America’s Truck Tire division. Community service is near to her heart, and she is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, and a volunteer at Roper Mountain Science Center. Shavada currently resides in the Upstate with her husband and 3 children.

VP PROGRAMS

Edwenna "Eddie" Ervin (she/her) became a PMI and Palmetto Chapter member after earning her Master's in IT Project management from Strayer University in 2019. Soon after she earned her CAPM. Eddie worked in insurance and financial services, commercial electrical construction, and commercial property management prior to her current role at Verizon. Eddie started at Verizon in 2015 and progressed from a Customer Service rep to project manager for Cloud Upskilling as a Service and Azure platform program administrator for Cloud migration in 2020. Working to fulfill the project management hours required for a PMP, Eddie is volunteering for the local PMI Chapter. She plans to earn her PMP in 2023. Eddie currently lives with her family in Simpsonville, SC. She enjoys spending time cooking for her family and friends. As well as listening to books while playing with her crazy puppy, Hero.

Jeremy earned his PMP and PSM I certifications in 2022 and is currently volunteering at the local state PMI chapter. He has extensive operations and project management experience in the healthcare industry including accreditation projects, lean six sigma initiatives, and continuous improvement process. He is currently working as Manager at the Heart and Vascular Center in AnMed where he is involved in managing the daily operations and a variety of department-related projects. He relocated to the upstate from Illinois and his hobbies includes swimming and board games.

VP EDUCATION

Tashema Brown, our Volunteers Director, earned her PMP certification in 2021 and joined the PMI Palmetto Chapter in 2022. She is a South Carolina native, and a United States Army Veteran. Tashema relocated to the Greenville, SC area after living in Northern Virginia where she worked as a Project Lead for the Department of State. She enjoys spending time with her family and helping others.

VP VOLUNTEERS

Melissa Mullis, the VP of Marketing, has been a chapter member since 2013 and a certified PMP since 2014. She also has her Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. She has served for the last two years on the Symposium team as the marketing representative. Her career has spanned three industries; construction, textiles, and most recently healthcare. She is currently a project manager with Greenville Health System (GHS) in the Enterprise PMO.

Tracy Palmer is currently serving as President of the PMI Palmetto Chapter. She has been a member and active volunteer of the Chapter since 2010. She volunteered on the 2011 and 2012 Symposium committee and served as Speaker Chair on the Symposium Committee 2013 - 2016. She previously served as VP of Education 2014 - 2016 and VP Programs 2016 - 2017. She currently is working as a Senior Project Manager for Regional Management. Previously she worked at Advance America, DW Finepack, Sealed Corporation and Verizon Wireless. She is a native of South Carolina and currently lives in the Upstate with her husband where she enjoys hiking, outdoors sports and spending time with family and her pets.

TRACY PALMER
PAST PRESIDENT

Wanda join the chapter in 2005, when she earned her PMP. She served on the Board as VP of Programs in 2005, and lead the Symposium as VP of Special Projects in 2006 and 2007. She has led the PMBOK Study Group from 2008 to present. She co-created and led the PMP Exam Prep class 2011-2013. As a member of the Midlands Chapter she help create and led their PMP Exam Prep class. In 2017 she represented Michelin at the GEC (Global Executive Council). In 2018 she served on the Global PMI JTA (Job Task Assessment) to determine the topics for PMBOK v7. She works at Michelin instructing project-relating classes (2012-present), and serves as the PM Competency Mgr for North America.
Amanda currently serves as the VP of Programs. She works remotely for the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt Sinai as the Associate Director of the Genetics Institute PMO. Amanda earned her PMP certification in 2011 while working at Merck and her MBA from Rutgers University in 2014. Amanda relocated to The Upstate from New Jersey in 2016 and has been an active member of the PMI Palmetto Chapter since then. Amanda served the chapter as VP of Special Projects in 2017. In 2016, she served as Co-Chair of the Symposium. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time on Lake Hartwell and traveling with her husband and new baby girl.
Kathi Soniat has served as President of PMI Palmetto from 2016-2017. Kathi has been a member of the chapter since 2010 and earned her PMP certification in 2011. She volunteered for the annual Symposium as Attendee Co-Chair from 2011-2015 and served as VP Membership during that same timeframe. Kathi is currently working as an IT Project Manager contracting with BMW Mfg. in Greer. Previously, she has worked at Tire Centers (TCi), Park Seed, Nutra and AFCO in the Upstate. Kathi has lived in the Upstate for over 25 years, and enjoys her acreage in the country with her husband where she is empty-nesting as her children are now attending college.
Lisa has been a Project Manager since 1995. She has worked in the Protective and Specialty Packing Food and Consumer goods and Engineering industries. As a project manager she has managed numerous functional and infrastructure projects. While she worked as a Project Manager, Lisa achieved her PMP certification and MBA in Project Management. Lisa has been attending PMI Palmetto Chapter meetings since 2008. She has been an active member of the PMI Palmetto Chapter Board of Directors since 2010, serving as the Director of Programs, Interim President, President and Past President. Lisa has been married for twenty eight years. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends and pets.
